What’s the place and year of his wedding with the famous Rebbitzin Bat Shevah Z”l ? Original documents recently discovered reveal the most accurate information.

Authentic documents from the early years of the great Tzaddik Rav Chaim Kanyevsky have been recently discovered by the genazym auction house.

The original marriage certificate of Rav Chaim and his wife rebbitzin bas Sheva Kanyevsky daughter of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elayashiv zt”l, authorized by the Rabinnate of Petach Tikvah the town in which they married. The dates of the certificate show that Rav Chaim was four years older then the kallah Rebbitzin Bas Shevah.

The certificate bears the signature of Rabbi Reuven Katz the Rabbi of Petach Tikvah, who officiated their wedding.

Another exciting document of great interest to be discovered is an original invitation to their wedding which was held in 1951 at the HaTzvi hall in Petach Tikvah . this invitation was sent from the side of reb Chaim by his Father the famous Gaon and Tzaddik known as the Stiepler Zt”l the invitation also bears the name of HaGaon Reb Yosef Shalom Elayashiv the father of the kallah Rebbitzin Bat Sheva.

The invitation is well preserved and has the original stamp still intact.

These documents have the appeal to attract tremendous interest from professional collectors of judaica and to all which have a desire to own an historical and unique article of astonishing value. Which gives us a glimpse into the lives of the greatest people of our generation.

Another item to have been discovered is the personal copy of rav Chaim Kanyevsky’s Maseches Kusim a part of the talmud which rav Chaim wrote a commentary on. This copy has lots of glosses and additions handwritten by Rav Chaim Kanyevsky.
