The Reform Movement has turned to Israel’s Civil Service Commissioner against Rabbi David Yosef Shlita, a member of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael for his comments during a shiur aired on Kikar Shabbos. The Reform Movement officials are referring his shiur in which he said “I think there are many far more important things to do if we truly wish to watch over Yerushalayim, maintain Kedushas Yerushalayim, if we succeed in ridding ourselves of Women of the Wall and those who profane the Kosel. If we can eliminate all of the abominations they bring to Jerusalem, we have a better chance of saving Jerusalem, to keep her with us. These are real things, if we lose Jerusalem it is because of these things”.
Reform officials are calling on the civil service commissioner to order an investigation into Rabbi Yosef, who receives a state salary, due to the comments he made which they view as being in violation of laws prohibiting incitement. In their letter, they wrote “Order a disciplinary investigation against Rabbi Yosef for his derogatory and inflammatory comments dude during his weekly shiur against Women of the Wall and the Reform Movement”.
As the official rav of Har Nof, Rabbi Yosef is a civil service employee and one who receives a state salary.

Now you understand why it’s a problem to take money from them, because then you can’t say what The Torah Hashkafa is.
Yashar Kochacha Sh’Dibarta, Rav Yosef!
He’s right. And from what I read, he didn’t threaten anyone.
Oh please! He was not physically threatening anyone. He wasn’t “inciting” or using any “inflammatory” language. What the Arab MK’s say on a daily basis is in fact dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric and they are rewarded for it. But unfortunately I wouldn’t put anything past the current “Charedie” (lol) Attorney General. I don’t expect any of the feckless Charedie MK cowards to come to Rav Yosef’s defense either.
If that’s the length the deformed movement is prepared to go, it shows that they are worried about our statements and opinions. If so, go for it and defame these people on all fronts. וביערת הרע מקרבך
The article says that reform are “calling for an investigation”. It does not say, as the headline implies, that Rabbi Yosef is under investigation.
So what is the story here? Reform calls for an investigation every time a Rav sneezes. It seems to be a popular thing in Israeli leftist circles. Rabbi Yosef is probably either ignoring the noise or laughing at it. We should do the same.
Sick sick sick Medina!
