A Jewish male was removed by police from Har Habayis on Tuesday morning 9 Adar after lying on the ground and reciting Shema Yisrael out loud. Police, who watch Jewish groups with a careful eye, responded quickly to take him off the holy site via the Lions Gate to a waiting police vehicle.

its called asking for trouble. (looks like at least two pple in the video saying shema together)
so not only do the Zionists destroy shuls and try to take bochurim away from yeshiva now they stop Yidden from davening! Gevalt most Yidden in Israel don’t even know the Shma.
I find it ironic how the government of a people who are obsessed with not being ” frayerim” are the most pathetic “frayerim” of a government body history has ever seen. This is just a small example but it’s so pathetic it makes me sick.
Halachically, how on earth can they prostate themselves on stone ground like that. Their only heter for going up there is that they claim they know where exactly the beis hamikdosh was, and that they’re definitely not on the actual site of the azorah, heichal etc despite us all being tamei meis, in which case it’s ossur to prostate oneself directly on stone ground as it’s merely har habayis.
karlbenmarx, how about the fact that nowadays we are NOT allowed on Har Habayis. So, it’s actually halacha that doesn;t allow him on Har Habayis, not just the police.
Furthermore, if Yeshiva boys have time to protest violently and shut down streets, then they don’t need to be in yeshiva anyways.
What many of us find so disgusting are these nitwits who come to har habayis, against the psak of most gadolei yisroel who say to do so is charav kores, and then put not just themselves but literally hundreds or thousands of other yidden at risk by their action of inciting riots. There are plenty of makom kadoshim in EY to demonstrate that you have an ability to recite shema so this publicity seeking stunt is no better than WOW trying to bring sifrei torah into the ezras nashim below.
It is a shame we are not able to say shema on our holiest site without fear of being taken to jail!
but then, perhaps fear of what the goyim will say or how the Arabs will react is a form of avoda zorah?
luckshun kugel, you are missing the point. According to most poskim, we are all considered tamei meis (impure from a dead body) today. As a result you are chayiv kares for going onto the har habayis. So, forget the police issue for a moment and recognize that he his halachically, NIT allowed to be there and may be chayiv kareis.
