A lone terrorist armed with a screwdriver tried stabbing an intended victim near the gas station in the Mishor Adumim area, the industrial zone of Maale Adumim.
A civilian who saw the terrorist fired at him, neutralizing the attack. The intended victim was treated for hysteria. The terrorist was reported in serious condition from his gunshot wounds.

The terrorist was not “neutralized.” He ( she?) was shot and wounded, as a result of which he (or she) could not complete his/her attack. “Neutralized” is a euphamism, and it should not be used in a news report.
