The Ichud Leumi party headed by Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel and MK Betzalel Smotrich, on Sunday morning 5 Shevat, turned to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to take action against Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman. They explain that Lieberman used his government vehicle and Shin Bet security agents to travel to Ashdod to trample on Shabbos.

In the letter to Mandelblit, it states, “This past Shabbos, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman went on a defiant tour during Shabbos in a blatant violation of the Shabbos status quo, and using the security entourage and the operation of many staff members in order to protest against a law enacted by the Government of Israel, of which he is a member”.
