Hagaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach successfully underwent cardiac catheterization early Sunday morning in Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. He is feeling well and is fully conscious.
His name for Tehillim is Shmuel Ben Chaya Rivkah.
Last Monday, Rabbi Auerbach was taken by his driver to the hospital after reportedly complaining of difficulty breathing.
He was diagnosed with an infection which spread and almost developed into full fledged pneumonia. The doctors were forced to drain liquids from his lungs and give him high dosages of antibiotics in order to combat the illness.
Since his personal doctor had been stressing the importance of doing a cardiac catheterization over the past few weeks, medical staff decided to perform the procedure while he was already in the hospital.
