Reb Zushe Rivkin z”l was viewed as one of the elders of Kfar Chabad, and for good reason. He was among the original builders. He was niftar on Sunday, 17 Adar 5772 at age of 86. His petira appears to have been the result of a fall which resulted in a head injury.

Rav Zushe was credited with building the community’s Beis Menachem Shul in 1978, the main shul in Kfar Chabad. The Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT”L gave Rav Zushe 1,800 dollar bills to distribute during the dedication ceremony after the niftar invited the Rebbe to attend the ceremony, which he did not.

The levaya was held on Sunday in Kfar Chabad in the presence of the city’s Mora D’asra, HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Ashkenazi Shlita. Kvura was on Har HaZeisim.
