The PA (Palestinian Authority) affiliated al-Quds newspaper in its Tuesday 26 Teves edition quoted a “senior official” in the Trump administration stating moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv is not going to happen any time soon, adding it is off the agenda.
PA (Palestinian Authority) officials on Wednesday morning 27 Teves are reporting they have received assurances from officials in the Trump administration that the US Embassy will not be moving from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as President Donald Trump promised would be the case during his election campaign. The report is carried in the London Arabic language Al Shark Al Awsat newspaper, which explains the move is off the agenda for the time being.
The report does not mention names, just that the PA has received reassurances from senior officials.
PA officials have announced that moving the embassy will mark the end of the two-state solution and result in consequences by the PA against the US.
Minister of Regional Cooperation (Likud) Tzachi Hanegbi, a close confidant to PM Netanyahu, told Israel Radio that in his opinion, the moving of the embassy is controversial matter and it is likely to be debated by US lawmakers for some time to come. Others in Israel feel the move is imminent, based on the strong statements and promises heard from President Donald Trump during his election campaign

What Trump could do is some low profile recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. any American citizen born there should have on his birth certificate Jerusalem, Israel. The ambassador should work out of Jerusalem and perform his ceremonial duties there. Many services for Americans should be done only there. also America should give up on the two state idea.Gradually, have all offices of the Embassy move into some building and later call it the “american embassy”.
I think the pa is blowing steam and promoting their own propaganda. I didn’t hear about any contact between trump administration and the palistinian authority

Dear Mr Trump
You could also leave the embassy where it is, and announce that the capital of Israel, according to the USA, is Jerusalem!
Thank you, Mr President!

What is a fact is that time will tell whether it happens or if it’s just another trump lie
Just call the consulate in Jerusalem the embassy and have the ambassador work from there.
The fact is that the embassy is in Tel Aviv but maybe alternative facts are that Tel Aviv is really Jerusalem.
Maybe he should build a wall around Ramallah and make Abbas pay for it instead of moving the embassy. Nobody seems to make fuss about making walls, only about paying for the construction.
