IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott was released from Beilinson Hospital on motzei Shabbos following surgery. He was released to his home where he will convalesce. He is current on leave, replaced by Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan.
Hospital Director Dr. Eren Halprin told the press he thanked the IDF commander for opting to have his surgery done at Beilinson.
Eizenkott had surgery for the removal of his prostate after a growth was detected. Prof. Jack Benial reports the commander came out of surgery well and he was released to convalesce at home for about two weeks during which time he will return to the hospital for checks.
