IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott will be hospitalized in Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah next week for a number of days where he will undergo a surgical procedure. During his medical absence, Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan will assume command of the IDF.

IDF officials report that Eizenkott feels fine and he will not be in life-threatening danger during the procedure.
