During Kriyas HaTorah on Shabbos the bal korei collapsed and was in cardiac arrest in a shul on Brandshteter Street in Bnei Brak. Baruch Hashem a United Hatzalah unit responded almost immediately and began CPR.

EMT-3 Itzik Chajibi was on-call and arrived and began CPR immediately. The patient was also defibrillated. As rescue efforts continued Itzik was joined by Hatzolah volunteers and paramedics from MDA.

B’chasdei Hashem by the time the man was transported to the hospital his pulse and spontaneous breathing returned. MDA paramedics transported to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
