A Frum Kollel family of eleven B”H managed to safely get out of a house fire in Southwest Portland early Friday morning.
The family was displaced when their self-cleaning oven caught fire in the home located in the 6900 block of SW 15th Avenue.
Portland Fire and Rescue officials say icy conditions around the house and snow on the roof made fighting the fire a challenge for firefighters.
According to reports, it appears that fire spread to the walls behind the kitchen and into the attic. There was extensive damage to the inside of the house.
Bichasdei Hashem, no one was injured.
