MK (Bayit Yehudi) Betzalel Smotrich admits his party failed to prevent the evacuation and destruction of Amona, placing the blame on the shoulders of Moshe Kahlon, head of the Kulanu party and Finance Minister.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, 7 Kislev, Smotrich explained that paragraph 7 of the Regulation Bill was omitted at the insistence of Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and his Kulanu party but he have not given up all hope yet. For the residents of Amona, who he refers to as “tzaddikim”, Smotrich promises to continue working towards finding a solution that will prevent the destruction of another Jewish community by the Government of Israel.

Smotrich explains the pain of the residents of Amona is his pain and he will continue working tirelessly to find a solution to prevent the expulsion which must take place by erev Chanukah, 25 December 2016, the deadline set by the High Court of Justice.
