HaGaon HaRav Adin Even Yisrael Steinsaltz was transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem on Wednesday morning 7 Kislev, apparently after suffering a stroke.
The rav, 79, was very active until this occurred. He has just returned from a visit to Italy. He arrived at the hospital with his family and reportedly was taken for a cranial catheterization procedure.
The family has asked the tzibur to be mispallel for Aiden by Rivka Leah bsoch kol cholei am yisrael.
