B’chasdei Hashem, 6-year-old N’vei Yaakov resident Yaakov Dov Sarut was found alive and well on Monday morning 5 Kislev, some 15 hours after running from his dad and getting lost. The young autistic boy was found exhausted, yet still wandering around an open field near the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Hizme, which borders Jerusalem near Pisgat Ze’ev.
United Hatzalah EMT Yochai Chavet was among the many on the scene, explaining “I checked the boy and he appeared alright and there can be no doubt this is most joyous moment for the family and all of us”.
United Hatzalah officials’ thanks ZAKA and its search & rescue professionals who assisted greatly in the search along with other organizations.
Dov was reunited with his parents and then his mother accompanied him to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital where doctors are checking on his well-being.
