[VIDEO & PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] Firefighters received reports of a fire in Beit Meir, in the Jerusalem corridor, at about 2:00AM Friday morning, 24 Cheshvan as reported earlier. United Hatzalah and MDA units responded as well.
Fire officials report on Friday morning that all residents have been evacuated but the fire is not yet being declared under control due to the heavy winds.
The moshav is located about 9 miles from Yerushalayim, in the Jerusalem Hills off the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway.
B’chasdei Hashem while there is property damage to homes, there are no reports of injuries.
As the photos from this morning show, damage was significant.

My Yeshiva in Israel, Yeshivat Ohr Yerushalayim (or “OJ” as we affectionately call it) is located on Moshav Beit Meir. It’s a small, scenic village which was ravaged by Terrorist arson attacks last evenings. As alumni, we feel deeply connected to the Yeshiva and want to help in it’s trying times.
Within minutes of hearing our Yeshiva was in peril, OJ Alum from around the world had mobilized to finish the entire Sefer Tehillim. Hearing more about the tragedy, we know more is needed, particularly in terms of funds. What damages were caused to OJ… Carry to share pics of the $35,000 worth of damages that were caused???
PS: even if there was $35,000 worth of damages to OJ (Which there isn’t) This was classified as a terrorist attack and the govt pays for the damages.
