R”L a fatal accident in which a tank flipped over during the night (Wednesday to Thursday) of 23 Cheshvan claimed the life of Sgt. Ido Ben-Ari Z”L, a tank commander in the 401st Battalion, 20, from Ramat HaSharon.

The fatal incident occurred during a training maneuver. Southern District Commander Major-General Eyal Zamir has appointed a committee to probe the fatal accident. The investigators will be headed by Colonel Eren Shani.

In addition, Commander of Ground Forces Major-General Kobi Barak has called to halt all Tank Corps training exercises until Sunday.
