Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Wednesday morning 22 Cheshvan ordered the Emergency Authority under his ministry to do everything possible to assist agencies battling the growing number of fires nationwide.

The agency will assist in arranging to house homeless residents in coordination with local government in the areas where homes have been hit by fires. In addition, local government have been instructed to assist one another and the Carmel Coast Regional Council has come to the aid of the Zichron Yaakov Council in light of the fire as well as the Abu Gosh Council nearby Nataf due to the fire that compelled the evacuation of that community.

Deri had words of praise for firemen, whom he said “are doing everything possible to extinguish the fires”.
