Trump Attacks ‘Fools’ At NY Times In Latest Batch Of Tweets

nytPresident-elect Donald Trump is using a favorite medium — Twitter — to push back against a New York Times story that said his transition was in disarray.

The Times reported that the transition was marked by firings, in-fighting and revelations that U.S. allies were blindly dialing in to Trump Tower to try to reach the president-elect. Trump seems to have taken particular issue with a line from the story about prominent U.S. allies scrambling to figure out how and when to contact him.

Trump’s latest feud with the Times follows a Twitter rant Sunday in which he claimed that the newspaper “is losing thousands of subscribers because of their very poor and highly inaccurate coverage of the ‘Trump phenomena.'”

Here’s what Trump has been tweeting Wednesday morning:

“The failing @nytimes story is so totally wrong on transition. It is going so smoothly. Also, I have spoken to many foreign leaders.”

“I have recieved and taken calls from many foreign leaders despite what the failing @nytimes said. Russia, U.K., China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and more. I am always available to them. @nytimes is just upset that they looked like fools in their coverage of me.”

In the final days of the campaign, the New York Times reported that his staff kept Trump away from his favorite social media forum.

Trump, an avid user of Twitter, often used the social media platform to attack his political opponents and harshest critics.

Donald Trump pledged restraint on Twitter as president in an interview with “60 Minutes”.

He tells “60 Minutes” he’s going to be “very restrained, if I use it at all.”

But he went on to call Twitter “tremendous” and said social media is “where it’s at.”

“I find it tremendous,” he said of the social media platform, which he credited for winning the White House race. “It’s a modern form of communication. There should be nothing we should be ashamed of.”

As he put it: “I have a method of fighting back.”

The president-elect says social media helped him win races in states where he was vastly outspent, and he thinks he’s proved that the medium can be more powerful than money.

Some of Trump’s most provocative comments in the primary and general election campaigns came from his tweets, often late at night.

  1. …and they are “fools”…and they are “failing”.
Despite the fact that the publisher of the Times issued a letter implying “better” coverage…in fact…it is not the case…

…besides…staffers at the Times have publically stated that post-election disappointed readers have dropped them in droves…so they are “failing”.

…despite this…they are like cat and mouse…they have an inner instinct to find fault with Donald Trump…they have no intention of even giving him a chance…

…just remember…Obama’s transition was very spotty and full of very public trouble situations.
