HaGaon HaRav Bentzion Mutzafi Shlita speaks about the establishment of Beit Maor in the home of HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L, 45 Kablan Street in the Har Nof neighborhood of Yerushalayim. Rav Mutzafi calls it “the Beit Hamikdash of our generation”.
“If we can imagine to ourselves Maran sitting up days and nights, evening and Shabbos focused on limud. We saw this in the eyes. What Siyata Dishmaya and what Ruach HaKodesh was seen there and that room” stated Rav Mutzafi.
The rav added that while he is not feeling well, he calls on the tzibur to come and visit and be a part of this. “We cannot imagine, a Beit Hamikdash mamosh. It is the Beit Hamikdash of our generation, the place where Maran wrote divrei Torah and seforim…”
Rabbi Mutzafi feels the establishment of ‘בית מאור ישראל’ is brining much nachas ruach to the neshama of Rav Yosef.

This is a mistake. If they plan to do a beit Midrash good. But if they want to leave his desk and where Maran studied it will turn into another Bet Avoda Zara just like 770
Wow so we have R’ Mutzafi’s opinion, a noted Talmid Chacham who thinks it’s a good idea vs random guy posting on YWN who thinks it’s a bad idea.
