Jerusalem Chief Rabbis HaGaon HaRav Aryeh Stern Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita made a shiva visit to the home of police officer Sgt. Yosef Kirma HY”D, 29, who was killed in Sunday’s terrorist shooting attack in the capital.
The rabbonim arrived on Monday afternoon 8 Tishrei at the home of the family in Mevasseret Tzion. Rav Stern told the family they are not alone, reminding them of the Yom Kippur fallen from the 1973 Yom Kippur War, praising their heroism and that of their fallen son Yosef, who did not die passively, but trying to engage the terrorist towards neutralizing the attack to protect Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael as he fired at the terrorist and gave his life doing so.
Rav Amar added that Yosef’s neshama is at the Kisei HaKavod and he then recited a tefilla in memory of Yosef for the family.
In the video Rav Stern is heard consoling the bereaved family.
