The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition, FJCC, appreciates the great detective work by the 70th Police Precinct apprehending the thieves who have been systematically stealing many home delivered boxes from grocery stores, UPS, FedEx, and the Postal service, off porches of homes in the greater Flatbush community over the last month.
The FJCC praised the 70th Police precinct under the leadership of Deputy Inspector James Palumbo, and Bob Moskovitz, Executive Coordinator of Flatbush Shomrim, who have done an outstanding job in making this arrest and putting the community at ease.
The pair of thieves that have been plaguing our community have been caught through non-stop Police efforts and thanks to numerous homeowners’ videos retrieved by Flatbush Shomrim.
The thieves were using a stolen van, which was discovered packed with stolen boxes at a discreet location in Queens.
The Police recommend the community maintain vigilance, and continue to report all crimes to the NYPD, as there may be similar criminals around.
If you experience a crime, first call 911 to have a patrol car come and take the report. Then call Flatbush Shomrim at 718-338-9797 who will send an expert to collect video from you and neighbors. If there is any further complaint or issue, call your precinct directly.
