An Arab male convicted of assisting in the terror attack that led to the murders of Rabbi Nechemia Lavie HY”D and Aharon Benita (Bennett) HY”D was sentenced to 35 years in prison as a result of a plea bargain agreement.

The terrorist, Abed Aziz Mari admitted to his role in the plot that led to the murders and thereby convicted of accessory to murder. The original charges which included attempted murder of Mrs. Benita were amended to exclude the latter.
