Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday evening the eve of 3 Elul arrived at the scene of the underground garage construction site collapse.

He was briefed by senior military and civilian commanders.

In his statement to the press he expressed sorrow for the loss of life, a refuah shleima to the wounded as well as the success of the search & rescue team as he is aware people are still trapped and no effort will be spared as they try to reach them in time, using the best technology available.

“We know their location and we are working and davening that we reach them in time” he added.

He explained he was briefed by experts and the probe into the incident continues “but now the focus is on saving lives”.
