B’H we are all very proud of and grateful to him but YWN-
Perhaps you should refrain from publishing his photo in the interest of his own safety?
For all the leitzanei ha’dor out there, the one pictured with him is Rav Meshizahav, the son-in-law of the long time mazkir of the Aidah HaChareidis HaRav Yosef Sheinberger ztzvk”l. And can someone define dati for me? What makes one person dati and another chareidi.
What does it matter if he is Dati, Chiloni, Hassidi, Charedi, or Yo Yehudi?
Thank you & hakaras ha Tov is in order.
big zechus!
The Soldier WHO Shot (not That Shot)
Why is it relevant that he is from nachal charedi? If it was a gentile it would be the same. Learning Torah is greater than saving a life, all we can say is oy! Enough glorifying every frum soldier. We should love them nonetheless but yet again u realize this is the attitude of u don’t respect torah
shuali #2: self-identification is what distinguishs Chareidi from daati. The fellow in the photo apparently self identifies as daati. Add far as Meshizahav, the other fellow in the photo who runs Zaka, he had long ago left the orbit of the Aidah irregardless of his part familial ties to them.
@Zalman – self identification with what? Type of Yarmulka? Color of shirt or length of coat? Number of buttons or how the buttons button? Or perhaps to whom they ask their sheilos? The titles all seem silly at best and devisve at worst.

Last I learned –when learning Torah —is that saving a life takes precedence. Maybe lekaf zechus that you are smarter than that but just didn’t manage to get your point across, you meant to say that a Yid’s Torah learning has the power to save lives. Oh, and how!!! But let us stop using that to divide and put down those amongst us who, boots on the ground, are a lot braver than you and me! And there is plenty of halachic basis for a soldier who is also a yarei shamayim to defend and protect klal Yisroel and Eretz Yisroel with weapons, when that is what is called for, as long as those who have the power in learning are backing them…NOT DECRYING AND CONDEMNING THEM!!! It is the soldiers who are yerei shamayim that bring HAshem’s siyata dishmaya, haven’t you heard? It is in many sefarim, and brought by huge sages and Rebbes.
