Officials on Thursday afternoon, 21 Kislev report the terrorist responsible for the Hizme Checkpoint shooting attack earlier in the day was Mazaan Hassan Ariva, 37, a resident of Abu Dis.

Ariva was an officer in PA (Palestinian Authority) intelligence, in the unit responsible for areas of eastern Jerusalem.

He was shot dead by IDF soldiers who fired at him as he tried to gun down an IDF soldier inspecting his vehicle at the northern Jerusalem checkpoint.
