Firefighters on Sunday morning 12 Cheshvan worked to bring a blaze under control in the Givot Forest, a blaze believed to be the result of arson. Security officials report arsonists, possibility terrorist, list a fire in at least eight different locations. It is believed the arsonists are residents of the nearby Arab villages of Nahlin or Tzurif.
Gush Etzion Regional Council head Davidi Perl told the press that officials must view this type of terror as being no less dangerous than any other type of terrorism. He once again calls on local Arab village leaders to act to stop the escalation in Arab violence and incitement encouraging people to attack Israelis and to work together to protect the area natural environment to the benefit of all.
