07:28: Emergency units are responding to a reported stabbing attack near Aderet. More to follow.
07:31: It appears the attack is at Gvaot Checkpoint in the southbound direction near the community of Aderet. A soldier has been wounded. The terrorist has been shot.
07:36: It has now been established the stabbing attack took place at the Lamed Hey Checkpoint between Bet Shemesh and Gush Etzion, not too far from Aderet.
LOCATION: Aderet is west of Gush Etzion. It is a moshav in the Judean foothills south of Beit Shemesh.
07:40: IDF soldiers opened a gate of Kibbutz Lamed Hey to permit farmers to reach the fields. AN IDF tracker was stabbed in the process by an Arab terrorist. The terrorist was shot, according to most reports killed.
07:44: MDA reports the soldier is in light-to-moderate condition. other reports indicate the terrorist was hit in a leg with gunfire and is injured, but not in life-threatening condition.
