As the yahrzeit for Rochel Imeinu approaches, on motzei Shabbos 11 Cheshvan, security officials at Kever Rochel continue efforts to ensure the safety of the tens of thousands of mispallalim expected to come. That said, there is an awareness that the increase in Islamic terror attacks over recent weeks will result in a fewer than usual number of mispallalim visiting this year.

One can see from the videos that the concrete walls surrounding the holy site are higher and there are additional concrete dividers to protect mispallalim from attack. There are additional border police and other measures are also being taken to provide maximum security at the tziyun.

Sadly, the walls are placed around the site and not around the Arab villages from where the rocks and firebombs are thrown.
