I don’t fully agree with Lucy Aharish’s message. At least part of what she is saying is that she doesn’t believe that G-d would instruct people to kill other people. That is a liberal hashkafa shared by President Obama, but I don’t think it is a Torah hashkafa.
#2- What she said was she wouldn’t believe they G-d would condone the random murder of innocents on the street, which is true…. Not everything is about agenda, especially in times like these.
danthecan, Torah Hashkafa doesnt encourage killing innocents on the street E V E R!!!!!!!!!! Torah Hashkafa only allows killing on the battlefield, in wartime, or in self defense. Which Torah have you been learning?

#2, you’re missing the point. She’s an Arab, she has no obligation whatsoever to be promoting a Torah hashkafah. What she IS doing is incredibly brave and takes a lot of guts: Calling out the Arab and Palestinian leadership for what they really are: hypocritical despots who are manipulating religion and the religious fervor of their constituents in order to advance political goals.
And she is right: the ones who are really going to suffer from this in the long run are the Israeli Arabs. That’s exactly what happened after the second intifada, and it will happen again. The Arab/PA leadership gets rich by siphoning millions off the billions of dollars they get in international aid, and then they shoot their own people in the foot.
Wow. I hope she has a good place to hide from her Arab neighbors. I bet she’s a Christian, not a Muslim, btw.
#2 you’re right but it works well for us yidden in this case. That’s why it’s hard to say if yidden shud vote republican or democrat. Cuts one fits with our hashkafic belief and one fits our needs; which are very diff than the needs of the world and a republican wouldn’t understand it.

When will YWN start reporting correctly??? She is not an Arab nor a Muslim. She sounds 100% Jewish and is reporting from a Jewish station. It does not sound like somebody is interviewing her.
