B’chasdei Hashem an attempted infiltration into the small isolate S. Hebron Hills community of Negahot.

A security patrol at about 00:45 on Friday night to Shabbos morning heard noise in the area a caravan and then detected suspicious movement. The patrol turned on a flashlight to illuminate that area and detected a man with a kafia on his head and carrying a knife.

A soldier fired two warning shots in the air but the terrorist continued to advance. Soldiers fired at the terrorist, wounding him. A loaded weapon with a chambered bullet was also found at the scene.

Yochai Damari, head of the S. Hebron Hill Council stated “Baruch Hashem the alertness of soldiers and a miracle prevented the infiltration into the community…the roads leading to the community are dark and lack security lighting. We lack security and Arab terrorists target us often. In light of this incident I have decided to join the protest tent outside the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem”.

A number of heads of the dozens of council leaders from throughout Yehuda and Shomron are joining the head of the Shomron Council Yossi Dagan, who launched the tent some time ago and has been manning it since.
