An estimated 45,000 mispallalim took part in Birkas Kohanim at the Kosel on Wednesday, the second day of chol hamoed Sukkos. This was the 45th Sukkos during which the mass Birkas Kohanim took place, a minhag that was started by HaRav HaTzaddik Mendel Geffner ZT”L.

Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita, Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau Shlita and Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita were among those taking part.

Later in the day, at 17:00 the “Zecher L’HaKeil” began as we are in the motzei shmitah year. There was also the hachnasas Sifrei Torah for four Seforim.
