Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita met in his office with the Chief Rabbi of Barcelona Rabbi Meir Ben-Chen to discuss matters appropriate to the Jewish community. The two agreed to work together to assist efforts for the Jewish community in Barcelona as Rabbi Stern was invited to visit the Jewish community in Spain.

Rabbi Ben-Chen explained the local Jewish community yearns for a stronger connection to Israel, citing the awakening of the Jewish community and explaining his efforts to bring them closer in Avodas Hashem. The rav extended an invitation to Rabbi Stern, to visit and take part in the celebration marking 100 years of the renewed Jewish community in Spain.
