Indictment Filed Against Jerusalem Rock-Thrower And Others


parAn indictment was handed down on Thursday 4 Tishrei in the Jerusalem District Court against a 19-year-old resident of the Issawiya neighborhood of the capital suspected of rock-throwing attacks. The indictment includes aggravated assault, intentionally endanger human life on a public roadway, attempted assault against a policeman, and more.

The indictment states during the time period from 2012-2014 the defendant took part in violent protests in the Issawiya neighborhood and made firebombs and threw them as security troops. In addition, during the summer of 2013 he stood on an elevated area and hurled firebombs at Israeli vehicles traveling on the Jerusalem-Maale Adumim Highway below.

In addition, indictments were handed down against three minors, ages 13-to-15-years-old, residents of the Old City who live near Har Habayis. They face charges pertaining to alleged violence, interfering with police and more. One of them allegedly threw a glass bottle at police standing near a gate to Har Habayis a month ago. They also are charged with throwing rocks at police at entrances to Har Habayis during this past weeks.
