An Israel Police spokesman reported that weapons and ammunition were found in an Arab vehicle during a routine inspection at a Tapuach Junction checkpoint in the Shomron.

The Shechem resident in his 20s arrived at the checkpoint in a Hyundai. Soldiers were suspicious of the vehicle and instructed the driver to pull over for an inspection. An M-16 was found along with magazines, ammunition and other accessories.

The driver was taken into custody.
