Trial of Suspect in Kansas Jewish Site Shootings Set to Begin

fgmThe capital murder trial is set to begin for a Missouri man accused of killing three people last year at two Jewish sites in suburban Kansas City.

Frazier Glenn Miller Jr., 74, of Aurora, Missouri, is facing a possible death penalty if he is convicted in the killings.

Opening statements are scheduled for Monday.

Miller is accused of killing 69-year-old William Corporon; his 14-year-old grandson, Reat Griffin Underwood, and 53-year-old Terri LaManno in April 2014. He has pleaded not guilty, but the self-professed anti-Semite has publicly admitted killing them. He says he was morally obligated to kill Jews. All of the victims were Christians.

Miller is representing himself at the trial. He fired his attorneys in May, saying he wanted to speak on his own behalf.
