IDF soldiers and officers videoed while beating a PA (Palestinian Authority) resident during arrests in Jalazoun on erev Shabbos face prison and official reprimand. IDF officials explain that while the arrests were justified, the behavior and actions of some of the soldiers involved were not.

A company commander was reprimanded and a soldier was sent to prison for 30 days. Two other soldiers received suspended sentences of 28-days each. It should also be noted the suspected terrorists being arrested were not passive and one officer was hospitalized with a fractured zygomatic arch of his face. Nevertheless, the persons mentioned were punished as senior commanders feel the soldiers failed to conduct themselves properly.
