A Lakewood toddler is in serious condition after falling from a second story window on Thursday afternoon, TLS is reporting.

The two-year-old girl was reportedly leaning on her home’s second floor window screen when it gave way. The child reportedly fell approximately 20 feet to the ground level.

Hatzolah Paramedics rushed to the scene and found the child unresponsive but breathing, officials say.

The girl was transported to Jersey Shore Medical University Center with serious injuries.

“The child has very serious injuries,” an official told TLS.

Lakewood Detectives Bureau is investigating the incident.
