A terrorist tried to grab a civilian security guard’s weapon at Eli Junction in the Gush Shilo area of Shomron, situated in the Binyamin Regional Council area, was arrested. B’chasdei Hashem the guard managed to overcome the attacker, retrain him and handed him over to authorities.
The preliminary investigation revealed the terrorist came by foot from the nearby gas station. The man’s presence alerted people in the area, who were suspicious. A civilian patrol vehicle stopped to question him and it was then that he tried to grab a weapon. He was restrained and turned over to authorities.
Police report the patrol stopped the man and asked him to identify himself. At that time the suspect, 19, tried to grab the guard’s weapon.
