Housing Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Uri Ariel is calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to take action to immediately halt Waqf digging on Har Habayis, which Ariel warns will lead to damage to artifacts from the Second Beis Hamikdash.
In his letter to the prime minister, Ariel on Monday 24 Nissan warned of the urgency of the situation and the need to act immediately. He explained that work to install a new floor and ongoing digging using heavy equipment will result in damage that is irreparable. Ariel explains heavy construction requires the review and approval of the Ministerial Committee on Agricultural Digs.
The minister calls on PM Netanyahu to act, reminding him of the kedusha of the location in question and the magnitude of the damage that will result from turning a blind eye.

Who is doing the digging? Israelis, non-Muslim archaeologists or Muslims? Other than that crass omission, great report.
It says the ‘WAQF’, which is an Islamic organization. If it where Isrealis they would not be so worried.
