Ryan Turek, 35 yrs old of Brick was arrested and charged with creating a false public alarm at the ARC the Ocean County Employment Center located at 150 Oberlin Avenue.

Upon arrival at work, an employee discovered a message that was left on the company voicemail indicating that there was a bomb in the building.

Lakewood Police, Fire and EMS responded and evacuated the area, including approx 200 students at an all girls school located just several yards away.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Mr. Turek, a participant of the program, for leaving the message.

Although the threat was believed to be a hoax, the NJSP Bomb K-9 unit responded to clear all of affected buildings.
