Addition security has been placed on Bayit Yehudi party leader Minister of the Economy Naftali Bennett amid threats made against him. Adding to the concerns of security officials are posters of Bennett with a swastika and Hitler-type mustache. Bennett points out that if the right-wing did this to a left-wing candidate the media would be obsessing over it but since it is a case of the reverse, it is not newsworthy.
Bennett told the media “The left-wing hasn’t learned a thing from the Rabin assassination. The media can calm the situation and halt it. Bouji (Yitzchak Herzog) – the writing is on the wall and you can stop it or at least calm people down. You mustn’t maintain your right to silence. When left-wing activists take part in violent activities against my party you mustn’t remain silent”.
Bennett adds that one evening this week he arrived at a Bayit Yehudi event in Haifa and security agents would not permit him to enter. Bennett argued with security agents for about a half hour but they were firm in their position, the area posed a security threat. Once inside he explains the left-wing began with violent shouts and security agents wanted to remove him again, but he refused. Earlier in the week the picture of Bennett was seen in Rehovot. He adds that months earlier at the Haaretz Conference leftists shouted “fascist” at him, warning of the extremists in the left-wing camp. He accuses the left-wing of disrupting right-wing events repeatedly, adding if the reverse were true the media would stir the national outrage but when the left-wing is guilty the media remains silent.

Bennett and religious nationalists should be telling the truth constantly about the Rabin assassination, specifically about Raviv working for the Israeli Committee on State Security and the effective in-court refusal investigate the situation by then attorney general Elyakim Rubinstein.
