Har Habayis activist Rabbi Yehudi Glick, who is recovering at home after the attempted assassination against him, has announced he is joining the Likud primaries race. Glick, who was released from the hospital about two weeks earlier, has decided to seek the 33rd slot, which is locked in for a representative of Yehuda & Shomron. The move is symbolic or perhaps a foot in the door, as the polls clearly show the person in the 33rd slot will not be entering the 20th Knesset.
Nevertheless, Glick feels he wishes to enter the race for that slot “to maintain a place in Likud”. He told the media his wife prohibits him from running for a spot in the open primaries and she makes such decisions at home so he will seek the Yehuda & Shomron position.
Glick was shot by an Arab terrorist at point blank range, struck in his upper torso four times. B’chasdei Hashem he pulled through after emergency surgeries and weeks of hospitalization.
Glick concluded “I will remain an extremist in my views, extremist in demands for equal rights, extremist in having zero tolerance for terrorism and violence and extremist in demands for an honest and balanced police department”.
