When mispallalim of the Kerem Carmiel Shul arrived on Thursday morning 19 Kislev, they were horrified to see the building was ablaze. Police following a preliminary investigation feel the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit but mispallalim feel it was arson.
Fire inspectors agree with police, explaining evidence at the scene points to an electrical short.
Tens of mispallalim davened in the home of the rav of the city and now they will have to look for a new venue until such time the shul can be refurbished.
