“Our prayers go out to Levi Yitzchok ben Reizel, the Jewish student injured in yesterday’s attack in the Chabad-Lubavitch synagogue at 770 Eastern Parkway, and we continue to pray for his speedy recovery.

“I have nothing but high praise for the officers of the New York Police Department, for responding swiftly and apprehending the suspect in this horrific crime.

“While this was an isolated incident by a perpetrator with a troubled history, I have been in communication with the 66 Pct. and have been assured that they are taking additional measures to insure safety and security throughout the district.”
