Rabbi Meir Mazuz Shlita sent a letter to Shas Moetzas Gedolei Hatorah member Rabbi Shimon Ba’adani Shlita, informing the latter that if Shas cannot unite its ranks and Eli Yishai and Aryeh Deri cannot begin working together, he will cut off any dealings with the party. In his letter Rabbi Mazuz mentions it is no secret that while the Bayit Yehudi party continues to advance in the polls Shas continues to decline and this is due to the lack of achdus.

The rav highlights the paramount importance of achdus and how this is required in line with the wishes of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L.
