Bayit Yehudi leader Minister of the Economy Naftali Bennett responded to remarks made last week by Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita against those who ascend to Har Habayis. Rabbi Yosef stated that Jewish blood is being spilled as a result of the increased effort to permit more Jews to visit Har Habayis and to permit them to daven on the holy site.
Bennett stated, “With all due respect to the rav, you are incorrect. Blood is being spilled because they murdered them”.
Joining the party leader is MK Shuli Muallem-Struk, who is angered by allegations from other Jews that blood-spilling is a result of the actions of other Jews. Struk adds rabbis who make such statements are also insulting the opinion of leader Zionist rabbonim and poskim. “The dati leumi tzibur has always listened to their rabbonim and will continue to do so. I personally do not go to Har Habayis” Struk concluded.

But Bayit Yehudi claims that they aren’t a religious party, so why should they care what some Rav says?
Sounds to me like a case of sofek pikuach nefesh. Rav Ovadia, zatzal, poskened that yishuv Eretz Yisroel is not doche pikuach nefesh b’zman hazeh.
Giving over the Temple Mount to our enemies will increase Jewush bloodshed & inyanim of Pikuach Nefesh.
Shas has caused more harm to Jews and should be more careful how they speak. They supported Gush Katif and is always ready to give the Arabs an excuse to murder Jews and blame us for it.
Aryeh Deri is now cozying up to Labor, which is far worse and is willing to harm more Jews for their delusions that the Arabs want peace.
Saying that Jews should not go up to the Har Habayis is one thing. I would not go up either, but blaming Arab murderers on Jews is vile. Giving Arabs more excuses to kill Jews is horrendous.
Something is seriously wrong with that mentality. As the saying goes, “better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as a fool, than open your mouth and confirm it.”
You can tell people it’s ossur to go up to the Har Habyis without blaming Jewish deaths on Jews. Otherwise, Shas bears that same blame for their actions as well, though for other reasons.

Umm – there are two MKs from Bayit Yehudi – Shuli Muallem, who DOES go on the Har HaBayis, in accordance with the Psak from her Rav, and Orit Struk, who is quoted in the article as saying she does NOT go on the Har HaBayis.

The fact is that the current Rav Yosef shlit”a didnt say anything new at all. It is/was the standing polcy of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel/Mandate since the days of Rav Kook ZTL. These dati loomi “ra-banim” (those who dispense such ‘heterim)’are so subordinated to their political kingpins it is sickening.
