  1. Similar stats for Jews outside of Israel.

The Islamic militants are the majority and have shown their stripes to all interested.

  2. The poll does not show that a majority of the Israeli Jewish public is opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state.

The question was regarding ‘the creation of a Palestinian state in the pre-1967 borders’ (‘begvulot 67’) – i.e., withdrawing to the 1948 cease-fire lines, which is a different matter altogether.

The Likud supports the formation of a Palestinian state. So does Lieberman. So do Lapid and Livni. Needless to say, so do Labor and Meretz. The Israeli Jewish public votes for these parties.

To the best of my knowledge, the only party in the Knesset today that openly objects the formation of a Palestinian state anywhere between the Jordan river and the Mediterranean is HaBayit Hayehudi.
