IDF Sgt. Shachar Shalev HY”D, 20, from Alonei HaBashan, became the 72nd fatality of Operation Protective Shield. Shalev was a member of the IDF paratroopers.
He was injured by a bomb blast in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza on 25 Tammuz. He was hospitalized in Rambam Medical Center in Haifa since being wounded. He was niftar on Sunday, 5 Elul 5774.
