19:02: One person has been lightly wounded by the mortar fire from Syria a short time ago. He transported himself to a medical facility for treatment. The mortar fire originated from the Quneitra area of Syria.
ORIGINAL REPORT: Another mortar attack is being reported in the Golan Heights. Preliminary reports state one person has been injured. IDF forces are responding.
Mortar rockets landed on Wednesday morning, 2 Rosh Chodesh Elul in addition to cross-border gunfire which injured an IDF officer. Israel announced it was regarding the cross-border rocket and gunfire as spillover from the Syrian civil war. Nevertheless, the IDF responded with artillery fire with an explanation it holds the Syrian Army responsible.
